Asking for a Friend

Agency: C+K

Role: Storyboard Artist, Motion Designer, Moiton Lead
Asking for a Friend (AFAF) provides young people in the United States with answers to their sex, relationship, and identity questions without the stigma. It was created as a collaboration between over 300 young people across California and the YLabs team of physicians, designers, developers, health educators, artists, and educators.

Problem : In partnership with Vision First, AFAF requested a a series of social video ads to increase brand awareness  and strengthen the organization’s online presence among its target audience.

Solution : I created a 15 second video using a youthful handdrawn and collage style that targets a young audience of teens to early twenties. We went through a few rounds of storyboards. Ultimatley, the client wanted a combination of the visual themes in the first and second round of storyboards. They enjoyed the textures and collage effects in storyboard 2,  but they also prefered the more pared down, brighter look of storyboard 1.
